Treatment for my Tourette’s has been difficult.

There are varying degrees of affectation, just like with many such issues. Some people have prominent verbal tics, some don't Some people's tics drastically decrease as they age, some don't. Some people's tics respond more to medication than others. As with anybody with a significant and noticeable disability, the challenge lies in surrounding one's self with people who can and do look at the whole person and not the simply the disorder. Some people can do this, and some people simply lack that capacity.

A cousin of mine has TS, and it has not dissipated in symptoms as he has aged. He has had a very difficult time maintaining employment due to his tics, and, consequently, difficulty with employment contributed to the dissolution of his marriage.
