So, firstly, you never want to have both sides of the tower on even progression. This will dramatically hurt your amplifier and reduce the efficiency of your run. Secondly, your only way to the chess master is by catching a technic king, either ending this run or with your 1 piece of checkmate.
I find it quite unlikely that you will be able to get it with just one piece of cheese this run.
My advice would have been to do the full technic side first, and whether you get the king with or without CMC whatever. This will be quite difficult given how you started your run. Though you might as well try to do it.
Do I understand correctly, I have to make at least 3 runs to have a chance to catch Chess master? Maybe with side specific traps, not sure if they are craftable after one pass. I recommend knocking out the side of whichever you have the trap first, and then catch the king with checkmate. Switch back to Gouda and go for the opposite side with ZUM - should net you some decent catch rates.
Don't use ZUM until one side is cleared, as it has a chance to catch anything, you dont want to be catching both sides at once - it hurts amplifier efficiency. Catching the king of one side will remove most of that sides mice from the attraction pool. After you've caught your queen, you'll need to go for the second king with checkmate - but be warned: I recommend switching to the appropriate pawn pincher and then using your weakest base for the king - he's actually fairly easy to catch but you will likely take multiple tries, not to mention the chess master might be attracted as well.
You'll need to have plenty of bait, at least 18 checkmate for the whole run, more if you can spare it. I did it once successfully and my second try resulted in catching the second king before the chess master. As long as you have ZUM and have the checkmate to spare then yeah it's doable. You can try but the ZUM is really the bread and butter for the later half of double runs. Oh i guess i'll try after i rank up then, but is there any point to doing more zugzwang runs if youve already got the spellbook base? Log in or sign up in seconds. It is still better than several others that I have tried. It's a challenge when you're playing the game on hard mode. I think that's the best way to play it.

I don't even mind the fact that I can't get online with someone. Like I said before, the game is hard enough on hard mode. Seems like there is no one online. Board and pieces look real nice. The AI occasionally makes illegal moves, for example, rooks moving straight through other pieces. Playing online is the only thing that makes chess fun.
Not being able to connect through windows 10 app really sucks. This is the best chess app on the Windows store. Trust me I have tried many. The graphics are amazing while still being easy on system resources. The user interface is very intuitive and responsive.
The best part is that you don't have to wait a long time for the computer to think about what it's turn is! Despite high quality WiFi can't find a single match online. Spelled rating wrong on the matchmaking screen. Doesn't seem like much effort was put into this app other than graphics. Excellent graphics and speed once game commences. Major delays in starting a game severely demean the overall experience.
