I would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely go back next time. The venue is situated in an affluent suberbia , public transport is close by. For eating out would recommend Wimbledon village as opposed to Morden town , though we did find a nice Italian restaurant ,but at least we will know better for next time. Mitcham centre has little to recommend it. Fair Green is being improved and the old clock has been renovated but this does not make up for a shabby shopping centre which features the odd bank, chain store and supermarket amongst the betting shops and chicken joints.

The only decent coffee is at Ginos the Italian restaurant. The pubs one a Wetherspoon have little to recommend them apart from the low prices. The best restaurant in Mitcham is an unusual Indian called Chak It is also a banqueting centre. Do not be put off by the fact it is on a small industrial estate. You go to the top floor where you will find a bar serving cocktails etc and a well appointed restaurant serving delicious Punjabi food. Mitcham Common is a great place for fishing and dog walks. The best thing about Mitcham though is that 5 buses go to Tooting taking 10 to 15 minutes.

There you will find a plethora of bars and eateries to suit all tastes. It was perfect for us, we were having work done to our house and we had no water or any facilities. We only live a ten minute drive from there, so it was perfect for early morning starts with builders. I'm afraid that we did not have time to go places whilst we were there, but it is easy to get around,. Croydon not far everything there. The easy and free parking outside the property.

The room was tastefully decorated, warm and very clean. I liked having a fridge so I could have fresh milk for my tea. For breakfast I preferred that it was continental and especially liked the fresh fruit salad and nutty bread! The owners were kind, friendly and helpful and had plenty of information about local buses etc.
